- Real Madrid play at home against the newly promoted Cadiz
Real Madrid face the recently promoted Cadiz for the first time since 2015 at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium on Saturday.
Real Madrid look to extend their 15-match unbeaten streak in La Liga. This good run of games has put Real Madrid at the top of the league table, holding a point over second-place Real Betis.
Cadiz are doing fairly well since returning to the Primera División this season. They are currently ninth in the league table and are unbeaten in their last two league matches.
Injuries & Suspensions
Eder Militão and Toni Kroos are back from injury for Real Madrid. Militão has missed every LaLiga match so far due to injury and Kroos was able to feature for Germany in the Nations League over the break. Eden Hazard, Dani Carvajal, Alvaro Odriozola, Mariano and Martin Ødegaard are all injured and will miss the match.
There are no suspensions for either club in Saturday’s meeting in Madrid.
Courtois, Nacho, Varane, Ramos, Mendy, Casemiro, Modric, Kroos, Asensio, Vinicius, Benzema.
With both Carvajal and Odriozola out, we expect Nacho to play at right-back once again. Kroos has played for Germany in UEFA Nations League will likely start with his usual partners: Casemiro and Modric.
Benzema will most likely be accompanied by Vinicius and Asensio in attack.
Real Madrid have struggled to score in almost every La Liga match this season, but hopefully the national team break gave Zidane and his players some time to relax and think about new ways of being creative in attack.
Despite many players missing, we see Real Madrid winning this. Cadiz will put up a battle, that’s for sure.
Prediction: Real Madrid 2-0 Cadiz
