- Real Madrid look to return to winning in La Liga
Real Madrid play a home match at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium against Alaves tonight at 21:00 CET. Los Blancos return to La Liga after defeating Inter 2:0 in Champions League and drawing 1:1 against Villarreal in La Liga last week.
Zidane’s men last tasted victory at the end of October when they beat Huesca at home and since then they have lost to Valencia and drawn against Villarreal. Despite a poor run in La Liga, Los Blancos are still fourth in the table, six points behind leaders Real Sociedad.
Recent Form

Real Madrid have three wins, two draws and one loss in their last five games in all competitions. They will look to defeat Alaves tonight to continue the momentum from the Inter match in La Liga.
Alaves on the other hand one win, one loss and three draws in their last five games. Most impressive is the 1:1 draw they managed to grind out against Barcelona at the end of October.
Injuries & Suspensions

Another injury blow for Real Madrid ahead of Saturday is Dani Carvajal’s injury. Alvaro Odriozola, Sergio Ramos, Fede Valverde, Luka Jović and Karim Benzema all remain out as well.
Alavés will be without Pere Pons, Burgui and Manu García.
There are no suspensions for Saturday’s match.
Potential XI
With many key players out, Zidane is force to once again improvise his starting lineup, which makes predicting it even harder than it usually is.
This is the lineup we expect Real Madrid to field tonight.
Real Madrid: Courtois; Mendy, Militao, Varane, Nacho; Casemiro, Odegaard, Kroos; Hazard, Lucas Vazquez, Mariano.
Alaves: Pacheco; Duarte, Lejeune, Laguardia, Ximo; Peleitero, Battaglia, Pina, Mendez; Joselu, Lucas Perez.
Prediction
Real Madrid proved against Inter that they have squad depth to beat serious competition, even with many key players injured. Alaves have surprised Barcelona with a draw and have also drawn against Valencia in their last game. We expect Zidane’s men to do just enough tonight to beat Alaves.
Final Prediction: Real Madrid 2:0 Alaves
