Manchester United and Real Madrid could not agree about a buyback clause. Sergio Reguilon is loved by both the fans and the board of Real Madrid, that’s why the club insisted on a buyback clause for the Spanish left-back.
Tottenham Hotspurs, who are also linked with a possible deal for Gareth Bale, have entered the race and according to reports have agreed terms with the player and Real Madrid. The transfer fee is expected to be €30 million, with the buyback cost set at €35-40 million.
With Mendy and Marcelo in Madrid, Reguilon was forced to look elsewhere in hopes of consistent playing time and securing a spot for Spains Euro 2021 squad.
