Reports have surfaced yesterday that Hakimi is close to joining Inter. Real Madrid fans around the world did not receive this well, but most of them remained hopeful that a buyback deal will be part of the deal.
Today more information has come to light, albeit from the same sources. Fabrizio Romano reports that there will be no buyback clause included in the deal. The reported transfer fee is €40 million + €5 million in addons. The deal is expected to be made official sometime next week.
This means that if the transfer is to happen, Hakimi will be gone for good and that Dani Carvajal will remain the undisputed right-back for Real Madrid. Real Madrid also have Odriozola on loan at Bayern Munchen but his future at the club is not clear yet.
