Legendary goalkeeper Iker Casillas returns to Real Madrid.
Five years after leaving Los Blancos, Iker Casillas has returned but this time in a different role. He will be an advisor to Florentino Perez.
Nothing has been made official yet but it’s certain to happen in the next few days, perhaps after La Liga’s last matchday. Another possible role for Casillas could be that of ambassador of the club. In any case, it’s a role that’s going to be very close to the president.
Iker Casillas, 39, has retired from playing after myocardial infarction in May of 2019 during a training session with Porto. He has won three titles with Porto and lately has been playing the role of a liaison between the staff and the management.
With 725 games, Casillas is the second player with most games played for Real Madrid. Now he returns to help the president and the club in future projects.
