Real Madrid’s priority during the summer market was to sell or loan out players. One of those has been Brahim Diaz, who made only 21 appearances for Real Madrid since leaving Manchester City. In an interview with Diario AS he talks reveals how the transfer went down and why he chose AC Milan.
“It is true that there were many offers. Milan is a historic club, with a great project that has been winning all the matches after the confinement so to speak. The affection they have shown me and the interest they have in me made me choose this great club .”
Brahim did not want to clarify what Zidane told him, although he did acknowledge that he has great admiration for him. Likewise, the Malaga native explained the reasons that led him to consider leaving Real Madrid. “I wanted continuity, to know that I get minutes and that I am there to play. Nothing has changed. I want to be me, show my football. I find myself as an important character in Milan and I have to grow, learn and improve,” he argued.
Brahim Diaz concluded the interview by saying that he doesn’t regret signing for Real Madrid.
