- Gareth Bale has returned from international duty
- The Welsh player came back to Madrid with an injury to his knee
Gareth Bale has returned to Real Madrid’s pre-season training with an injury to his knee. The player did not meet with the head coach, Zinedine Zidane and has trained at the Valdebebas facilities alongside other injured player. Madrid have yet to issue a medical report on whether his absence is due to a physical problem or slight discomfort, which comes as a surprise after having played 45 minutes against Finland and 90 minutes against Bulgaria in the UEFA Nations League with Wales.
Real Madrid have made it their priority to sell players this summer. James and Bale were on top of that list and with the Columbian player sold to Everton, the transfer of Bale to another team remains the highest priority Los Blancos. So far there have been no reports linking the player with a potential move.
